The group are currently in the studio with producer Mark Ronson and are delighted with their recent writing session with the 'I Predict A Riot' hitmakers' drummer Nick Hodgson.
Keyboardist Nick Rhodes said: "We did half a day's writing with Nick from the Kaiser chiefs, which was fun.
He's a friend of Mark's and he thought we'd be able to do something different with him.
"We got some really good things from it actually, it's not finished yet but they'll definitely make the album."
The 'Rio' star also revealed they have to keep an eye on Mark around the musical equipment in the studio.
He added to BANG Showbiz: "Mark is just producing but he did have some shakers out the other day and you've got to watch him around those.
"There won't be a brass section on the record unlike things Mark's done before - but he did say he wants it to sound like Duran Duran."
Duran Duran play Edinburgh Castle on July 16 and the Lovebox Weekender in London, which takes place between July 18-19.
Tickets for the latter are available from www.lovebox.net

The guitarist - who left the group in 2003 amid concerns he was drinking too heavily - says that since getting back together, the band are more supportive and helping one another through their live shows.
He said: "A Blur concert for me has always been extremely draining emotionally and physically.
"In the end I learned it's the audience that get you through it. You play to the audience.
"I was struggling through in an isolated manner. We all did. We became a massive machine and a business and the group members were the least important thing.
"But we're encouraging each other more now than we used to. It's a more caring attitude among us."
The 'Tender' musician says their hiatus has helped the group reconnect and strengthen their relationships.
He added: "With the pause we had in the group we realised we are important as individuals and we are friends again. We got to know each other again. It's important we're all having a good time."

Well no one dares to say it, but the engagement ring appears to speak for
itself. Paris Hilton was wearing a flashy diamond engagement ring on her left
hand on that oh-so-special finger and we don’t really have to guess too hard
who gave it to her. The ring consisted of diamond initials that were B.M. Who
could that be? Hmmmm… Might it be her newest squeeze, Good Charlotte’s, Benji
Madden? The one that she’s been cooing about to her fans on her website about,
perhaps?
Although with Paris, it’s really hard to tell if this is for
real. She seems to fall in and out of love as easily as she collects Tiffany
diamond rings. However, the couple claims that this is the real deal and that
they are in love, however, no one is confirming an engagement yet. But, why
else do people wear diamond rings on their left ring finger for if not to
announce an engagement?

Kylie Minogue wins Excellence in
Entertainment prize at the annual G'Day in Los Angeles!
|
Good news for Kylie Minogue, as she
recently received the Excellence in Entertainment award, at the
annual G'Day in Los Angeles (Australia Week gala Saturday night in
Los Angeles)! “To be considered an Australian who is doing well and
who they're pleased to have represent them around the world. It's
amazing," Kylie Minogue told AP Television News! Not only that
she received such an important award, but the prize was actually
handled by John Travolta, and from what i've heard it seems Kylie
Minogue had a crush on him back when she was watching Travolta's
movies! Newton-John who is also an award recipient said, "I
think Kylie who is being honoured tonight has done so much for pop
music without being Aussie. She's just in love with pop music. She is
beautiful and she's creative. She's been through a lot with dignity
and grace and she's an international star. I think she's wonderful."
This marked the fifth time the gala was held in Hollywood as part of
the Australia Week festival - a promotion for Australian tourism.!
Good for you Kylie! Keep up the good work!

Enrique Iglesias recently stated that
don't have to love someone to have sex with that person! I totally
agree with him on this, unfortunately the ladies don't!
It seems the Latino lover Enrique
Iglesias is not that much of a lover, as he recently related that you
don't have to love someone to have sex with that person, but if you
can actually get them both, then you definitely hit the jackpot:
"Sex and love are so different
that, of course, you don't have to be in love with a woman to sleep
with her but it's amazing when you get them both together. I'd say
I've been in love about 10 times in my life, although those feelings
usually turned out to be lust.”
I totally agree with him here! Why do I
need to tell a girl i felt in love with her, just so I can get in her
pants anyway? And even i'd love her for real i'd never tell her the
truth unless i am realy serious about our relationship, and so does
Enrique who had a few “blue” moments on his life two: "I've
had my heart broken a few times, but really, I've only been in love
once. Love is lust that lasts and develops into trust and
friendship."

Fergie announced her engagement with actor boyfriend Josh
Duhamel!
Okay so maybe this is not something extremely surprising, as I was about to wonder when will she do this move anyway! So it happened, Fergie actually got engaged with her boyfriend, the actor Josh Duhamel.
It’s been more then three years since Fergie and Josh started dating, so I guess this is not much of a surprise! The couple announced their happy news yesterday (26.12.07) but refused to reveal if 'Las Vegas' star Josh popped the question on Christmas Day.
A representative for the actor has confirmed the pair got engaged "recently", but as yet no other details are available.
Since getting betrothed, Fergie, 32, has been calling all her friends and family to tell them about the engagement.
