Jakki Degg was born February 20, 1978, in Stone, Staffordshire, England. A blonde beauty from the very beginning, Jakki took an early interest in dancing and began taking ballet lessons at the tender age of 4. Eleven years later, her athleticism and grace allowed her to capture a succession of intense dance competitions.

Although Jakki’s innate sense of rhythm was unmistakable, she chose to shelve her dancing ambitions following high school and enrolled in hairdressing school instead. Luckily she excelled at that pursuit as well and began managing her own hair salon in the West Midlands by the age of 20.
