Tricia Helfer was born in Donalda, Alberta, Canada where she was raised on the family grain farm. She fell into modeling in high school and began an extensive modeling career working for top designers such as Giorgio Armani, Versace, and Dolce Gabbana, and magazines such as "Elle," "Vogue," and "Cosmopolitan" to name a few.

While modeling, Helfer realized a passion for acting and immediately enrolled in acting classes in New York. Helfer moved to Los Angeles in 2002 where she quickly landed a number of roles including guest starring in the second season finale of the hit series "C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation."

Helfer started off 2003 by starring in the Sci-Fi miniseries "Battlestar Galactica" where she played the humanoid Cylon 'Number Six.' She went on to reprise this role and its many incarnations in the following four seasons of the critically acclaimed, award-winning series from Ronald Moore and David Eick.

While on hiatus from "Battlestar Galactica," Helfer also starred in a number of other projects including landing the lead role of 'Farrah Fawcett' in the film "Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Charlie's Angels" on NBC, and filming the lead role of 'Stephanie Jacobs' in the independent feature "Memory" opposite Dennis Hopper and Billy Zane. Helfer headed into new territory playing 'General Kilian Qatar' in the video game "Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars" and voicing 'Black Cat' in the animated series "Spiderman" on the CW Network. Helfer also landed the role of 'Naomi' in Jonathan Mostow's "Them," for Fox and starred opposite LeeLee Sobieski in the independent feature "Walk All Over Me" which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival.

In 2008 Helfer joined the cast of the USA Network's hit series "Burn Notice" for a multi-episode arch. Helfer also shot a pilot for Fox, with Shaun Cassidy Productions and filmed a guest star role on NBC's "Chuck". Helfer continued with her voice work, reprising her role of Black Cat but this time for Spiderman, Web of Shadows video game, and also playing Commander Veronica Dare in the new Halo ODST video game.

In 2009, Helfer also filmed guest spots on Syfy’s ratings winner, Warehouse 13, CBS hit Two and a Half Men, and the upcoming Fox drama, Human Target. Helfer has also been busy with voice work for video games Mass Effect 2, and the lead character, Sarah Kerrigan in the new Starcraft trilogy. Along with animated series, The Super Hero Squad Show.

Helfer will soon be building a “green” house on her land in Alberta, Canada, in which she will be filming for a web series and chronicling on www.triciagreen.com.

Tricia is an avid motorbike rider and hiker in her down time and is also dedicated to animal causes. With nine rescued cats of her own, Helfer works closely with Kitten Rescue of Los Angeles and raises monies via her website which she donates to animal charities.
