Britney Spears is not on suicide watch, her manager has insisted.
The troubled pop star is understood to have entered rehab for a third
time in a week last Wednesday, after very publicly shaving her head.
Over the weekend, pictures of her apparently attacking a car with an
umbrella were published in the global media, prompting further fears
about her mental health.

"American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks needs his Soul Patrol to step
up.
They were certainly there for him around this time last year, when
he was building up a feverish fan base, named the "Soul Patrol."
The
things about him that irked Simon Cowell — that mop of gray hair and
the herky-jerky dance moves that conjured up images of dorky dads loose
at a wedding reception — were instead embraced by millions, who later
handed him the "Idol" title over the likes of talented hotties
Katharine McPhee and Chris Daughtry.

Forty years ago, the Doors' Jim Morrison seduced Hollywood with his
wild moves and wilder poetry. On Wednesday, the rock band cemented its
legendary status with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Doors' keyboardist Ray Manzarek, 68, and guitarist Robby Krieger, 61, showed up minus drummer John Densmore for the dedication of the walk's 2,325th star.

Guns N' Roses have put back their new album, Chinese Democracy, although the group remains confident of an imminent release.
The long-awaited record was recently scheduled to come out in March, a
considerable number of years since being originally mooted.
However, this deadline now looks set to pass, although a posting on
their official website suggests the album is definitely nearing
completion.

The parade of Police sellouts
continues, with shows in Denver, Seattle and Oakland selling out over
the weekend, and Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., selling out
today (Feb. 26).
On Saturday, Pepsi Center in Denver sold out, with a
second show added (June 9-10), and Key Arena in Seattle sold out, also
with a second show added (June 6-7).
McAfee Stadium in Oakland sold out Sunday at 48,000
tickets. Giants Stadium sold out today at 56,000 tickets, as did Dodger
Stadium at 52,000.

A prospective Van Halen tour with original frontman David Lee Roth has
derailed. Sources tell that the decision to postpone the
outing indefinitely was not due to any internal strife among band
members.
Insiders close to the situation say a tour is still in the
works and will happen, though when is anybody's guess.

make a solo album as an artist.
But that's exactly what will arrive
March 27 in the form of "Shock Value," which, as previously reported,
features such high-profile collaborators as Justin Timberlake, Nelly
Furtado, Elton John and Fall Out Boy.

album (1999's "Temperamental") and an even hotter minute since Girl
frontwoman Tracey Thorn's solo debut (1982's mini-album "A Distant
Shore").
But Thorn has wrapped work on a new project, "Out of the
Woods," due March 20 via Astralwerks.

performance on the Feb. 11 Grammy Awards.

Fans who bought tickets to Tool's upcoming spring tour will have to
wait a little longer see the band live.
The outing has been postponed
indefinitely after drummer Danny Carey tore his bicep, requiring
surgery.
According to Tool's Web site,
the procedure "went well" but Carey will not be recovered in time for
the planned start of the tour on March 15 at the Pearl in Las Vegas.
Rescheduled dates have yet to be announced.
