A bass player from Uptown Kingston and drummer from Woodstock this
spring and summer will tour for a second time with pop rocker and No
Doubt front woman Gwen Stefani.
Gail
Ann Dorsey, who has played bass in David Bowie's band for years; and
drummer Zach Alford, a veteran of the B-52's, will back Stefani as she
tours the country in support of her second solo record, "The Sweet
Escape.'
Both Dorsey and Alford played in Stefani's band
when she toured in release of her solo debut, "Love.Angel.Music.Baby."
Stefani, Dorsey, Alford and the rest of that band were captured
performing live on the DVD, "Harajuku Lovers Live."
Stefani's
"The Sweet Escape Tour" arrives in the New York region on May 18, with
a concert in Holmdel, NJ at the PNC Bank Arts Center. On May 20, the
tour hits Long Island with a concert at the Nikon at Jones Beach
Theater in Wantagh, NY. On May 21, Stefani will play Mohegan Sun Arena
in Uncasville, Conn.
