Queens Of The Stone Age are eyeing a June release for their next
Interscope album, which is dubbed "Era Vulgaris," according to a post
on the group's Web site.
Purported song titles include "Into the Hollow," "Misfit Love," "Battery Acid" and "Sick, Sick, Sick."
"Could be song titles, or could not," the post
continues. "Go sign up on the mailing list for future insider info.
Then get off the Internet and go get laid -- its Valentine's Day."
Frontman Josh Homme previously described the new album
as "dark, hard, and electrical, sort of like a construction worker" in
a video clip on the QOTSA site.
QOTSA has been relatively quiet in recent months, following the
completion of touring in support of their 2005 album, "Lullabies to
Paralyze."
That set has sold 342,000 copies in the United States,
according to Nielsen SoundScan, and spawned the No. 2 Modern Rock hit
"Little Sister."
