 LL Cool J, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kiss are among the latest nominees for induction in the Rock Hall of Fame, nme.com reports: Going up against returning candidates like The Stooges and ABBA, 5 of the 12 nominees will be chosen for induction in January once the ballots of the 500 music industry voters has been cast. "It's a real honor to be nominated in our first year of eligibility." Said Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith to Billboard.com. "Obviously the Hall of Fame has excellent musical taste." He added. An announcement of the inductees is expected in January, while the 25th Annual Induction Ceremony will take place on March 15 at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City. Here’s the list of the nominees: ABBA The Chantels Jimmy Cliff Genesis The Hollies Kiss LL Cool J Darlene Love Laura Nyro Red Hot Chili Peppers The Stooges Donna Summer I don’t want to be mean, but what’s so special about LL Cool J?
