Fans who bought tickets to Tool's upcoming spring tour will have to
wait a little longer see the band live.
The outing has been postponed
indefinitely after drummer Danny Carey tore his bicep, requiring
surgery.
According to Tool's Web site,
the procedure "went well" but Carey will not be recovered in time for
the planned start of the tour on March 15 at the Pearl in Las Vegas.
Rescheduled dates have yet to be announced.
The tour was to keep Tool on the road in North America
through the end of April. It is expected the band will be able to honor
a previously announced co-headlining appearance at the Bonnaroo
Festival in mid-June in Manchester, Tenn.
Tool is touring in support of its latest
studio album, "10,000 Days," which has sold more than 1.4 million
copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
