U2 Performed Live at Cannes Fetival |

Music News: U2 launched their new film 'U2 3D' at the Cannes Film Festival last night (May 19).
The band played a short set at the French event to ahead of the
premiere of the road film shot which was on the South American leg of
their Vertigo Tour.
Bono and co performed 'Vertigo' and 'Where The Streets Have No Name' at the red carpet entrance to the Grand Theatre Lumiere, reports Reuters.
The film uses new three dimensional camera technology that allows
footage to get closer to the performers onstage than has been possible
on previous live films.
The Cannes audience
witnessed a 55 minute preview of the film, ahead of the full version
(expected to be 90 minutes) which will be released internationally in
around 1000 3D equipped cinemas.
